What Pillpal is (and is not)
Pillpal provides medication reminders, adherence tracking, supply tracking, and family caregiving features. It is a reminder and tracking tool — not a medical device — and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist about which medicines to take, when, and in what dose. Never change a medication regimen because of something shown in this app.
Reminders are best-effort
Dose reminders and caregiver alerts depend on your device settings, operating system behaviour, and network connectivity — notifications can be delayed or suppressed by silent mode, focus modes, battery optimisation, or lack of connectivity. Do not rely on Pillpal as the only safeguard for critical, time-sensitive medication. You remain responsible for taking (or giving) medicines correctly.
Caregiving and shared data
Pairing a caregiver and a patient shares dose activity between those accounts — that is the app's purpose. Only pair with people you trust. A caregiver managing someone's medicines confirms they have that person's permission (or lawful authority) to do so. Either side can end a connection at any time in the app.
Your account
You sign in with Apple, Google, or an email code, and you are responsible for activity in your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in Settings → Delete account.
Pricing
Pillpal is free to use. The free plan covers one person and up to five medicines; we may offer optional paid plans with higher limits. Any purchase is handled by Apple or Google and governed by their store terms, including refunds.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Pillpal on devices you own for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its content.
Disclaimer of warranties
Pillpal is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every reminder will be delivered.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including missed or delayed reminders. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
