How do reminders work?
MyDate uses local notifications on your device. When you add a date, a reminder ladder is created with multiple steps (for example, 30 days before, 7 days before, and the day of). You can customize the ladder for each event.
Why didn't I get a reminder?
The most common causes are: notifications being disabled for MyDate in your device settings, battery optimization or Do Not Disturb silencing notifications, or — on Android — a manufacturer that aggressively kills background apps (see dontkillmyapp.com).
What is MyDate Pro?
MyDate Pro is a one-time purchase that removes all ads, unlocks unlimited dates (the free tier allows 12 manual adds), and gives you access to all current and future premium features.
How do I restore my purchase?
On iOS, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. On Android, your purchase is linked to your Google account and restores automatically.
Can I sync across devices?
On iOS, enable iCloud in your device settings and your events sync automatically across all Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Android sync is coming soon.
How do I share a date?
Long-press any event on the dashboard and tap Share. The recipient gets a link they can tap to import the date — complete with its schedule — into their MyDate app.
What data is shared when I share a date?
Only the event title, date, type, and repeat rule. Your notes, tags, amounts, and custom reminders are never included.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual events by opening them and tapping Delete Date. To remove all data, uninstall the app. If you use iCloud sync, also clear your data from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Is my data safe?
Your data stays on your device (and optionally your iCloud). We don't have servers that store your events, so we can't see your data even if we wanted to. You can add Face ID / biometric lock for extra security.
